We are pleased to share our latest survey report focusing on Maternal and Neonatal Mortality Rates (MNMR) in the Kapilvastu District of Lumbini Province. Utilizing the innovative ‘modified Motherhood Method’ combined with GIS mapping and digitized reporting, this study provides a granular, census-equivalent look at maternal and neonatal health patterns across local municipalities.

While the district has seen a positive trend in institutional delivery rates, reaching over 90%, our findings highlight critical systemic gaps that contribute to mortality rates remaining above national averages. The report underscores the urgent need for a shift toward quality-focused interventions, strengthened referral mechanisms, and culturally sensitive care for diverse communities.
