Orientation program organized at Bheri hospital and Pokhara Hospital with participation from hospital staff of various departments.
Orientation program was conducted in Pokhara and Bheri by our PI Dr. Rakesh and two other researchers involved in the project. The program was held with the intention to introduce our project, the scope and intended result to the local staff there. While there, they met with the hospital director and other hospital staff from Emergency Department, Record section as well as other departments. Dr. Rakesh gave a presentation on the status of pesticide use and regulation in Nepal. The team also led a discussion among the local staff on how best to improve management in the hospital so that poisoning cases can be managed and recorded properly. The program ended with suggestive discussions from both parties (our team and local hospital staff) on how to move forward with the project and coordination effort extended by both parties.
